Gardeniabreeze
Warrior of ShadowClan
Gardeniabreeze stomped towards the border with WindClan. When she left the den to hunt, she missed pretty much all of her prey. Ashamed of her hunting skills at the moment, she kept away from the clan. There were sick cats, leaf-bare was coming soon. Yet, she couldn't bring home a decent amount of prey. What kind of warrior was she? Her grimace was quite evident on her face. Her tail lashed back and forth. The Burmilla's olive green eyes narrowed into slits when she smelled that nasty WindClan scent. She was at the border line. The light she cat paced back and forth along the border. As she walked, she felt something sharp on her pads. "Foxdung!" She cursed and hissed until the pain went away. Unintentionally, her hackles were up in all directions. Gardeniabreeze sat down on her rear and began licking her hurting paw.

SANDPIPERPAW The orange and black striped apprentice ran through the heather hills, feeling her claws dug into the tough sod and propelling her forward, flying with her long limbs. She felt her breath coming in shorter and shorter gasps as she neared the ShadowClan border area. She slowed herself to a trot, her tongue hanging slightly out of her mouth as she panted. Her tail whisked the air behind her, and she felt a wind ruffle her fur, felt it cool her pelt, which had warmed from running. The young apprentice loved doing this; going out on her own, running to her heart's content, checking borders, hunting. All on her own, and she was still doing things helpful to her Clan. Through her peace, she hadn't noticed the ShadowClan cat on the opposing border. But as a hiss of pain rang in her ears, she glanced across the border, her gaze sharp. She felt her fur fluff out threateningly. A ShadowClan cat, here? Why? She determined she would ask. She raced right up to her border, her claws digging into the grass. "Hey!" she mewled, her voice neither friendly nor aggressive, however had a small challenging note to it. "What are you doing here? Snooping on WindClan, perhaps?" Gardeniabreeze

Gardeniabreeze
Warrior of ShadowClan
Gardeniabreeze whipped her head around and immediately saw an apprentice. An annoying piece of fur was the last thing she wanted to encounter. In her opinion, all apprentices were frustrating to be around. Thank goodness there were only a few in ShadowClan. Her eyes narrowed into slits when the apprentice suggested that she was snooping on her territory. "What a normal clan cat would do. Marking borders," she said rather flatly. "Just why would I even want to investigate on your bare grounds? Where is your mentor anyway? I didn't know WindClan likes to have apprentices running around with no supervision. How pathetic," she shrugged with a little smirk. It wasn't a playful one either. It was rather cocky and condescending. I mean, I am aware of the tension after the war. I was only doing my duties. It's not like I was close to anyone who died anyway. WindClan is also the least of my concern. My only regret is that Screechstar is the leader. Why couldn't he vanish like the others? He hated me before I was born.

SANDPIPERPAW The young apprentice felt her hackles raise. How dare this ShadowClan mouse dung say anything against WindClan? Sandpiperpaw bared her fangs, her lips drawn back in a snarl. "At least WindClan doesn't have any warriors who snoop around borders! What are you waiting for, prey to run right into your paws? Go back into the pine forest," she sneered. "You'll not find any lizards here!" Sandpiperpaw felt her claws dig into the peaty ground. She didn't really want to fight this cat, but she supposed if the ShadowClan warrior took one step over the border, even a whisker, she'd have no choice. Gardeniabreeze

Gardeniabreeze
Warrior of ShadowClan
Gardeniabreeze didn't even bother to hold back a laugh. That apprentice was just ridiculous. The Burmilla had several moons on that mangy little piece of crowfood. She could take her down easily. Not to mention, WindClan was known for its weaklings. "Because WindClan isn't smart," she retorted. "I'll have you know that ShadowClan's border is right here. As long as I am here, I can do whatever I want, apprentice. Why don't you go back to your camp where you belong? Your little mentor is probably looking for you. Wondering where his/her stupid apprentice is. Waiting for me to step in your tree-less grounds is soo productive. I can't wait to see what I am going to do there," she exaggerated and rolled her eyes. That apprentice was starting to completely bore her. The lithe she cat yawned and continued to walk along the border. "Frogbrain," she sneered. She marked and marked. The she cat already marked the majority of the border, but she had some left. Bickering with an ignorant soul wasn't productive.

SANDPIPERPAW
The black and orange striped she-cat realized that arguing with this cat wasn't productive. However, Sandpiperpaw was still a little worried that the other warrior would cross the border. Perhaps, if this prickly she-cat let her, she could gain some information on the cat. She knew that the opposing warrior was probably too cunning to give her any information about her Clan, so maybe information about this she-cat was the next best thing.
"In any case," Sandpiperpaw mewed, all signs of hostility gone, "I'm Sandpiperpaw. Though I'm guessing you don't care?"
The apprentice lifted her head and sniffed, feeling a breeze blowing through her whiskers. Chill, she noted. Leafbare is so close.

Gardeniabreeze
Warrior of ShadowClan
Gardeniabreeze huffed when she realized the apprentice was still present. Part of her enjoyed her company...someone to pick on. There weren't many choices in her clan. Maybe there were, but she didn't really look. The thing about ShadowClan was that if someone was being rather rude to rival clan cat, then it wouldn't matter. Her clan already had that "cold-hearted" stereotype. When the young she cat spoke, she rolled her eyes. Sandpiperpaw? How bizarre! Who named her? And... who cares?! The Burmilla looked at Sandpiperpaw through her narrowed gaze. "You are totally correct. Probably the smartest thing you've said today. I am proud of you," she gave the young one a fake smile. "Your mother has a way with names," she commented. "Very interesting, you know? I'd never change it if I were you. " That comment wasn't exactly nice. It was rather sarcastic. The thought of telling the other her name slipped her mind. It wasn't something she usually did.

TAG: @gardeniabreeze @sandpiperfeather Words### The tom-cat had been feeling a little less than perfect as of late- his throat held an itch and he had found himself feeling dizzy whenever he exerted too much energy. Egrethowl guessed he had just eaten bad prey, but it didn't quite feel the exact same. The lithe, tall tom had decided to make a note to himself to see Frostbite. After all, the tom was a medicine cat and supposedly knew how to cure these kind of troubles.
The long legged oriental tom made his way towards the borders first - before making a trip back to the camp. Already, he had caught a couple of frogs but they were buried deep into the dirt. When the warrior ventured towards the camp, he would make a quick side-stop to collect his frogs.
The male suddenly erected his ears and slowed his pace as he heard the sounds of chatter sounding from the edge of the border. The tom lifted his head up - being taller than most was certainly an advantage, allowing him to peak over foliage and shrubs with greater ease than others. In the distance, he saw a round faced she-cat with stripes - her name was Gardeniabreeze, a fellow Shadowclan she-cat. Opposite her seemed to be a Windclan apprentice. The male grumbled under his breath as the scent of Windclan lingered off the border. Egrethowl held nothing against the apprentice personally, but the tom held ill feelings towards Windclan. The very sight of them made him irritated. However, he pushed his thoughts aside temporarily as he heard Gardeniabreeze make sly, sarcastic remarks to the apprentice. No wonder Shadowclan cat's had a reputation. However, Egrethowl suspected the apprentice was far from innocent in all this anyway; especially given the battle had most likely occurred while she was just learning to fight or before her apprenticeship.
"Why hello there," he said in his low, gruff voice. The tom made his way out of the shadows and walked up beside his clan-mate; giving her a gentle tip of his head as a sly smirk came across his maw.

SANDPIPERPAW The young apprentice tilted her head, knowing that the ShadowClan rival was only trying to ruffle her fur. It's definitely not worth getting angry over, she told herself truthfully. And so the apprentice twitched an ear flat, trying to express her nonchalance. "I think it's a nice name my parents gave me, together. I stand out from my crowd; who else thinks to name their kit after a sandpiper? Not very many, I'm sure. What about you, your name? Is your name very common?" The apprentice looked the rival up and down, noting her features and then making a guess on what she would have named her. "Creamfur, maybe?"Then her ears perked again; another warrior was approaching. More teasing, she thought, seeing the new member, a tall, tanish-cream tom, smirk a greeting. "Hello," she mewed politely. "Does every cat in ShadowClan pass time by making fun of apprentices in other Clans?" she asked, her voice scathingly kind. "Does it make you feel better as warriors?"GardeniabreezeEgrethowl of course you can join us!

Gardeniabreeze
Warrior of ShadowClan
Gardeniabreeze resisted the urge to narrow her eyes when Egrethowl came to join her at the border. Someone would think that she'd like cats in her clan. In reality, she liked no one. Not even the cats in her clan; however, she was much more willing to work with them. She'd give them less of a hard time. Other clans....good luck. Since she was in front of a rival clan, she decided to be nice. The Burmilla smirked back and gave him a little poke with her tail. It wasn't flirtatious. It was rather "friendly". Her venomous green gaze went back to the annoying apprentice on the opposite side of the border. Yeah, you stand out in the wrong way, she retorted in her mind. "Not many, I will tell you that. I won't name my kit that? Would you?" The she cat asked Egrethowl the question. If he would name a kit that... then he shouldn't have kits. "My name is fabulous. My parents both came up with my name also. And no, my name isn't common. Creamfur? Creamfur? How basic." I know I am pretty, but this? What a horrible name to complement my appearance. The feline's ears twitched a bit when she asked about ShadowClan in general. "Does WindClan like having their apprentices wonder by themselves?" Well, her reply didn't answer the other's question. It was more of a retort. "There are plenty of ways for warriors to feel better about themselves. However, picking on annoying apprentices is not really one of them." It is satisfying, though.

TAG: @gardeniabreeze @sandpiperfeather Words### The tall lanky male gave his fellow clan-mate a nod before casting his grassy eyes across to the apprentice whom stood across the border. The she-cat gave him a polite greeting then began to trash talk Shadowclan; asking if all Shadowclan warriors made fun of apprentices and whether it made them feel better as warriors. What have I said to you to ruffle your feathers, he thought; giving the apprentice a rather confused look.
The apprentice was incredibly immature, seeming to act more like a kit than an apprentice. Egrethowl was initially going to be civil as he was naturally a fairly civil tom - if not a tad sarcastic and rebellious. However the apprentice seemed to have lost that privilege. She chose to say what she did. She could have shut her mouth and at least tried to make a civil conversation.
"You are accusing the whole of Shadowclan of insulting apprentices purely because of the actions of one?" Egrethowl stiffed a laugh, his smirk seeming to grow wider.
Egrethowl quickly dropped the thought, his fern eyes sliding back to Gardeniabreeze who then poked fun of the apprentice; wondering whether WindClan allowed their apprentices to roam freely and that picking on apprentices wasn't quite a warrior thing to do.
"Sounds soooo dangerous, now doesn't it.....Letting apprentices roam by themselves. Wouldn't it be a shame if a fox appeared and...Just ran off with the young body of a helpless WindClan apprentice. Oh, we could say we tried help...But, of course we were just too busy marking our own borders..."
Egrethowl's smirk remained firmly planted on his muzzle. The skinny tom didn't really like teasing apprentices or even rivals at the border, however this apprentice deserved it as far as he was concerned. She should have chose her words wiser.

SANDPIPERPAW The young apprentice felt her ears twitch. This was getting old, quite quick. Still not knowing the two warriors' names, she shrugged. "Basic." she mewed, knowing that the rival she-cat was watching her expression. However, Sandpiperpaw merely felt a tad confused. "Here you are, mewing about my name and how it was different. But then when I give you a much simpler name, you say it is beneath you, in a way. If it is beneath you, then what, by your standards, is a normal name?" Sandpiperpaw glanced at the tom, feeling her tail tip flick once or twice. "Luckily," she mewed slowly, "we don't get very many foxes here. I believe that is more of a ThunderClan occurrence?"Gardeniabreeze, Egrethowl

 | Lavenderrain. Warrior of WindClan | The warrior was strolling down the border when she heard the spits of insults fire from the border. The smokey feline erected her ears and quickly darted her yellow eyes in the direction of the noise. As her paws ventured closer, the she-cat swallowed hard as she saw two warriors at the border - their pelts smelling heavily of ShadowClan. Across from them was her apprentice, Sandpiperpaw. The she-cat swallowed again. The two warriors were clearly rather experienced - they seemed to be discussing names...And foxes? Lavenderrain missed part of the conversation, but she wasn't too optimistic that it was friendly. "Hello," she said as she approached. The smokey feline nodded to her apprentice, a gentle smile spilling to her features briefly before she looked back to those across the border. The thin tom looked to be a bit of a sly tom, although he was unique and different and admittedly rather stunning with his long legs. The she-cat was his opposite; rounder and smaller, but both were fairly pale in colour. If Lavenderrain wasn't so cowardly, she would definitely make some comment about keeping the peace and hoping that everyone was having fun. But, alas she simply could not bring the words to form in her throat. @sandpiperfeather x Egrethowl x @gardeniabreeze/div]

Gardeniabreeze
Warrior of ShadowClan
Gardeniabreeze pricked her ears forward when Egrethowl asked the apprentice about generalizing ShadowClan. A smirk started to make its way to her face. Honestly, that apprentice was much dumber than she thought. Her mentor must be embarrassed. The Burmilla looked back at the apprentice. "There is a difference between an interesting name and a completely hideous one," she mewed with a flick of her tail. She basically implied that the apprentice's name was ugly, which it was in her opinion. "A normal name is an appealing one, unlike yours." The she cat shook her head as if she felt bad for the young feline. She listened as the other mentioned that foxes were more of a ThunderClan occurence. "You frogbrain. A fox has legs, doesn't it? It can still come over to you and shred you to pieces. So, unfortunately for you, it is quite possible. I am so sure your mentor would be happy to see her apprentice in its jaws." Her green eyes were full of mockery. Although she was the type of cat to wish bad on others, she rarely wished death. In the middle of her thoughts, a small gray warrior approached the border. "Ugh, another one," she hissed to Egrethowl. "About time," she said exasperatedly. "I don't know why WindClan likes to let their tiny apprentices wonder all by themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if a predator snatches them up. I wonder who Sandpiperpaw's mentor is." Her voice was rather full of mockery. There wasn't any friendliness in her tone. She simply despised outsiders.

[googlefont="Lobster Two:400"][googlefont="Oswald:400"][googlefont="Economica:400"] ❝Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities❞ 1234 w. notes. Gardeniabreeze was certainly a venomous she-cat; he watched her as she slid insults towards the young apprentice, and even the stormy gray feline who only actually said 'hello'. Perhaps Egrethowl had misread the situtation initially, perhaps Gardeniabreeze had started it all. Perhaps this apprentice had not said anything to stir the she-cat's pelt. The tom gave a slight nod to Lavenderrain, although Gardeniabreeze was feisty, he on the other-paw wanted to remain civil. Egrethowl did not like WindClan, but he was not interested in starting needless insult-battles with a little apprentice and a fluffy gray warrior. "If you do excuse me...But, I do have some frogs to catch," he said as he nodded gently to his clan-mate, before padding off and into the shadows. Egrethowl had lost interest in the affair and decided he would much rather put his time to good use; such as hunting.
